I want to make sure that we are transparent with regards to privacy
Recordings, transcriptions, and AI processing
I want to experiment with the use of AI as a DM assistant.
As part of that I plan to use a tool to record transcriptions of our sessions and use AI tools to process those transcriptions.
As part of this recordings in voice channel will be collected by a third party tool, so all participants will be subject to their privacy policies.
Session 0 will not be recorded with these tools until all members of the group have agreed.
If any member of the playgroup objects to being recorded or having the recording processed by 3rd party tools at any point, we will stop using the tools as a group as soon as reasonably possible. That said any content shared up to that point is made with concent of all members of the playgroup under the privacy policies of these tools.
Broadcasting and streaming to others
Out of respect for the privacy of all participants, we ask that streaming, broadcasting, or other forms of sharing with anyone beyond members of the playgroup only be done with the explicit approval of all involved.
Observers and guests
Please ask the playgroup if they are ok with you inviting a guest to observe our game before doing so.
Obviously family and roommates of participants will likely observe our game sessions to some level or another.
We don't require the use of headphones or playing in a perfectly isolated environment, so please keep this in mind.
That said, it is recommended to use headphones for the privacy of the other players if you can. Use of headphones also prevent some other technical issues.
